While spending some time online, I have noticed an increase in popularity of magnetic false lashes. If I could wear false lashes everyday, trust me, I would. 😉 My main concern and reasoning for not wearing them daily would be the damage it does to my real lashes.
Arishine Magnetic Eyelashes has a ton of promising reviews, and it is also waterproof and smudge proof. It claims to not do any damage to your real lashes.
As an avid lover of false lashes, I had to try this new product out. I wanted to see if the application was easier than the traditional glue, how comfortable the lashes felt, and whether or not they kept my real lashes undamaged.
Shipping
I bought the Arishine Magnetic Eyelashes off Amazon. With an Amazon Prime membership, shipping in free and the item arrived within 3 days. The kit comes with two tubes of magnetic eyeliner liquid, five pairs of magnetic eyelashes, and one eyelash applicator. Two pairs of the lashes have a natural look, while the other three pairs have a more dramatic look.
Application
The directions for application are located conveniently on the back of the packaging.
- Be sure to shake the eyeliner bottle before use.
- Open the eyeliner tube and carefully apply the liner starting from the inner most part of your eye, then outward. (Create a wing if desired.)
- Fill in any gaps or holes with the eyeliner.
- Let the product dry for one to two minutes.
- Once product is dry, place the false lashes on (they will easily attach on their own wherever you have placed the liner).
- Vualá! Admire your new sexy lashes <3
Comfort
These false lashes were surprisingly comfortable. In past experiences, with the conventional glue application, the lashes would often poke parts of my eye leading to a night of discomfort. With the magnetic eyelashes, no poking, no discomfort, and they are so simple to readjust.
What I was most impressed about, was the overall comfort with the long, dramatic lashes. I was not able to wear these types of lengthly lashes with glue, as the application process would ruin my eye makeup and the glue was never strong enough to holdup such weight. To my surprise, the magnetic eyelashes did a great job holding up the dramatic lashes. Just be sure to use enough of the liquid eyeliner, so the lashes have a good base to hold on to.
Is it Sticky?
While researching different brands of magnetic lashes, I came across the same uncomfortable and sticky complaint over and over again. So, are Arishine Magnetic Eyelashes sticky? Once you let the eyeliner FULLY dry, NO, they are not sticky! 🙂 Make sure you do not put on globs at a time. If you are going to put another layer of eyeliner on top of an existing layer, make sure the bottom layer is completely dry, before doing so.
Overall Look
This packet of 5 pairs of lashes, come with two great looks. The shorter ones are perfect for day to day use, and give you a beautiful natural look. While the longer ones, are ideal for going out and really bringing in attention to your eyes. The longer ones are also great for photos and videos. Amazon also offers a set of ten lashes for more variety for only a few dollars extra.
Removal
Removing the lashes themselves is very simple. Simply pull from one side and the magnets will come off. I love the fact that they do not pull on my real lashes. It was such a relief to see none of my real lashes pulled off during the whole process.
Although the lash removal is effortless, the removal of the eyeliner itself can be somewhat tedious. With any all day lasting, waterproof/smudge proof makeup, you are going to need to put in a little extra work for removal. If the product does not come off with your makeup remover, you may need to use a makeup remover specifically meant for the eyes or a cleansing oil to help get the rest off. I have also hear baby oil can remove it as well.
Tips and Tricks
There are a few things to keep in mind during application and removal that will help tremendously.
- Shake eyeliner before use
- If the lashes are too long for you, it is okay to cut them to size
- Let the eyeliner fully dry before more liner applications and before placing lashes on
- Make sure you apply enough eyeliner to create a solid base for your lashes
- Do not get the eyeliner on your real lashes; they will clump together and removal is difficult
- During removal, if you see some eyeliner on the magnets, wipe clean so they can be reused
- Use a cleansing oil if you are having difficulty removing the eyeliner
Final Thoughts
I am very glad I gave these magnetic lashes a try. I prefer the magnetic eyeliner application over the traditional glue application. These is less room for error and it is so much quicker. This product has shorted my makeup routine by ten to fifteen minutes. Arishine Magnetic Eyelashes TL;DR

It is quick, simple and easily changeable to get that perfect lash look. The starter kits off Amazon are very affordable and offer a great variety of looks.
